Il nostro tour a piedi inizia presso il Teatro dell'opera e poi prevede una breve corsa con la metropolitana Millennium fino a Piazza degli Eroi e al parco della città. Qui ti verrà presentata la ricca storia e cultura ungherese attraverso la linea dinastica dei re. È prevista poi una passeggiata nel parco della città per ammirare dall'esterno il Castello di Vajdahunyad, un complesso costruito per la fiera mondiale nel 1896 caratterizzato dalla tipica architettura diffusa in tutta l'Ungheria.
Segue una sosta alle terme di Széchenyi (con la possibilità di vedere l'interno quando sono aperte) per scoprire l'incredibile tradizione termale che vanta questo paese. La metropolitana Millennium ti riporterà in centro fino al termine di via Andrassy, dove potrai conoscere il significato di questa strada per la cultura e la nobiltà.
Dopo la visita al parco della città dirigiti verso la basilica di Santo Stefano (solo dall'esterno) prima di fare una pausa in una caffetteria per assaggiare la famosa specialità di pasticceria ungherese chiamata "retes", uno strudel di mele tradizionale. Qui gli ospiti possono gustare due paste fatte in casa ciascuno e un caffè o una bevanda analcolica (inclusi nel prezzo del tour). Dopo la pausa di ristoro, dirigiti verso la riva del fiume per vedere il famoso Danubio blu. Qui puoi ammirare la vista spettacolare del colle Gellert e della Cittadella, le colline di Buda e il Palazzo Reale, mentre attraversi il fiume sul Ponte delle Catene di Budapest.
Nella parte finale del tour salirai gli scalini del Palazzo Reale nel quartiere del Castello di Buda, per poi attraversare le antiche strade di ciottoli e i viali fino alla meta conclusiva del tour di fronte alla Chiesa di Mattia e al Bastione dei Pescatori. Al termine del tour la guida ti darà idee, indicazioni stradali e altro ancora!
Il nostro tour a piedi è riservato a piccoli gruppi e generalmente non supera i 15 partecipanti, il che lo rende affascinante e personale, dandoti l'opportunità di porre domande, conoscere la guida e chiedere suggerimenti su dove andare e cosa fare.

This was an excellent tour with a fabulous guide in Petra. Very informative and small number of people which made it easy to get around. The cafe stop was a bonus and made for a more relaxed tour.

Our guide took us around to the most important places in Budapest. We got a lot of information about the history of Budapest and Hungary. The cafe stop was excelent with the taste of different types of Strudel.

We had a wonderful morning with our tour guide Krisztina and the other couples on our walking tour. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and it was a great way to get started in Budapest. We even spent another hour with the other two couples having a drink and lunch at Fisherman’s Bastion. We highly recommend this tour.

Our guide, Koppany, was one of the best guides we ever had on any trip in any country. He was very well-informed, chatty and open to all kinds of discussions. He took us to many places, each very different, so the tour offered a lot of contrast between Buda and Pest. He also had a tablet with a lot of pictures showing the past and present of Budapest. We think every guide should bring some visual aids but alas, most don't. We had the good fortune to be the only couple on that tour so we learned a lot about not only the history of Budapest, but also insights into more cultural aspects of Hungary. Kudos to Kopp -- he is great!

What a wonderful tour this was. Sophie explained the heart and soul of Budapest while taking us throughout the city on a beautiful day. The coffee/cake break was superb! The staff was very accommodating to allergies and needs! I definitely recommend this tour to get the true essence and DNA of Budapest

I can't recommend this tour enough. I did this on my first full day as a single traveller. The guide KOPPY ( not so sure on the spelling) was absolutely superb, his local knowledge and passion about this stunning city was excellent. If you don't book anything else up apart from this, you will not be disappointed.
