Our tour guide was excellent and worked very hard for us to see a lot of beautiful and historic sites in one day! The perfume factory was interesting but I think we could have skipped that. It was a fantastic day!
Very good experience. Drivers arrived on time and were holding a sign with the name of the Lead passenger. They were very courteous and knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend them again. The only disappointment in the trip is that the church in Monaco was closed and we could not visit inside. Otherwise it was a pleasant experience.
Thanks to Venish our guide . He was at the port when we arrived so very professional we could not have asked for s better one ! He took us from Cannes in a very comfortable cooled car . was showing us all nice places , he knows everything about the area ,he was telling us interesting stories about events and places while driving , stopping us where we could take the best photos and also have time to shop for souvenirs or look around . We passed through Cannes,Nice,Eze village , perfume factory where we had a special private tour and finally Monaco and Monti Carlo . He made sure that we get back to our ship on time . to mention but few . Simply he made it the best experience ever . Thank you Venish you have made our tour the highlight of our cruise .
A good tour, but we couldn’t hear our guide. We were in a van with eight people total, but the guide only spoke to the two ladies in the front seat, and the rest of us were kind of on her own. It was very difficult to enjoy as we could not understand what was going on as we drove along. When we got out to take pictures everything was beautiful and that part of the tour was nice but we felt like we missed a lot because we could not hear the tour guide. The van should be equipped with microphone and speakers so everyone can participate.
We were on a cruise and tendered in Cannes, France. The cruise wasn't offering day trips to Monaco because of the Grand Prix and traffic. I booked this tour and we had a blast! Our guide was Marie Anne and she was fantastic. We want to go to as many countries as possible and it's an easy drive from Cannes to Monaco. Monaco itself is an absolute picture post card and Marie Anne made the tour even more fabulous!
Our tour guide Jenna was amazing. She took us to all the areas and they had wifi in the tour as well. She was kind and answered all the questions. She knew her stuff. I would highly recommend this trip, with skip the lines and small group. You can't go wrong.
I can't say enough good things about this shore excursion. We tendered into Cannes from the NCL Epic and was greeted by Fred from LIvenUp, our driver/guide for the day. All eight of us were from the ship so there was no worry about getting back on time. The van was comfortable and easy to get in and out of. Fred did an amazing job telling us about the history and people of this region. We had two passengers who only spoke Portuguese so he actually translated twice! We stopped at Eze and climbed the hill with its quaint little shops and magnificent view at the top. Then on to the French perfume factory tour. After this we were on our way to Monaco. The views of the Cote d'Azur along the drive were beautiful. We got to spend about 90 minutes in Monte Carlo where we shopped and had lunch. I have to say that Monaco was the cleanest tourist city I have ever seen. We then stopped at the casino to have a look around and bagan the drive back to Cannes. Fred was a great host and noticed that lots of groups from our ship booked this company that day. I would not hesitate to book with LivenUp.fr again. Thank you, Fred, for a wonderful experience!
Our tour guide lived in Nice and was very knowledgeable about the entire region. We saw so many extra things not mentioned in the description! Great only having 8 people in the van. Very personal tour and our guide was delightful!
Overall great experience, the stops were very good at giving us a feel for the area. One couple did not show up and the driver waited for 30 minutes then left without them, good for us. Van would have been tight for 8 people. Stops were good quality and time spent was appropriate. .
Just enough walking and sightseeing to keep everyone's interest. John did a great job showing us the sights and explaining the history. Form Monte Carlo to my favorite the town of Eze, the trip was one of our favorites.
This was one of our best tours mostly due to Marion, our guide. She was knowledgeable, friendly and so charming.
We were met by Momen at the pier - an excellent driver and very friendly. Our first stop was Eze - a breathtaking stone town with steep narrow streets. What a place to see! The perfume factory - a complete and utter waste of time. The first 10 minutes to got an interesting walk through the manufacturing facility with a brief history, then for 45 minutes you sit down and sample scents and told how much the perfume if is and how you the lucky tourist can get a sale price if you buy today. Very disappointed by this visit considering the very narrow timeline and how expensive this trip was. Monaco and Monte Carlo are a freak show of wealth and must be seen, an amazing place to visit, and Momen gave us great commentary. Now a bone to pick which is why this trip gets 4/5 stars... 5 hours for this trip is a very very narrow timeline. A wasted hour at the perfume factory and you are down to four hours. Manaco is quite a long drive from the pier, the tour leaves a 9am and has you back to the pier at scheduled 2pm, which is odd because the ship leaves at 5pm. If you stick to the 5 hour long tour this excursion says it is, you will get nothing but a 10 minute photo shoot at Monaco and a drive through - not very rewarding. BUT - we were give the option to pony up 75 Euro for each additional hour we wanted to stay in Monaco. We grabbed two extra hours at a cost of 150 Euro. Glad we got to explore Monaco. On the way back we explored Cannes for about 20 minutes and the Red Carpet and back to the pier at 4:10pm. As nice as our driver Momen was, I was disappointed that we had to put together another 150 Euro 171 US the make this trip fulfill our expectations.
This tour was excellent, well organized and informative. Our guide I've forgotten her name but she was lovely and pregnant was fun, helpful, funny and well organized. I enjoyed the stop in Eze be prepared to walk up a hill and the Fragonard Perfume Factory. The trip to Monaco was excellent as our guide had so much information to tell us about the country. We drove all around the city and had about 1 hour to walk around near the palace and shops by our selves. We still had time to look around in Cannes because we were back early enough in the afternoon.
