Questo è un ottimo tour di un giorno della contea di Wicklow, comprensivo di passeggiata guidata e gita panoramica nel Parco nazionale e visita a Glendalough. Dopo il prelievo alle 9:35 a Dublino, ti dirigerai verso sud in un tour panoramico di Wicklow.

Una volta arrivato nella contea di Wicklow da Dublino, la guida ti condurrà per una passeggiata guidata nella zona panoramica, conosciuta localmente come "Spinc". La passeggiata, che dura circa 1,5 ore, segue parte del Dublin Mountain Way attraverso un bosco di latifoglie e conduce a una meravigliosa vista panoramica del sud di Dublino, di nord Wicklow e della costa irlandese.

Dopo la camminata, pranzerai nel villaggio di Enniskerry. È un paesino vittoriano che è stato utilizzato come location per le riprese dei film "Una proposta per dire sì" e "P.S. I Love You".

Alle 13:30 il tour prosegue attraverso il Wicklow Mountains National Park, Glencree, Lough Tay, la tenuta Guinness, Sally's Gap ("Brave Heart") (con soste lungo la strada) verso Glendalough.

Intorno alle 15:00 raggiungerai Glendalough e il sito del monastero del VI secolo di San Kevin. Qui avrai a disposizione circa 1 ora e mezza per fare una passeggiata o rilassarsi e ammirare le attrazioni turistiche in questa bellissima valle. Alle 16:30 il tour farà ritorno a Dublino seguendo un diverso percorso panoramico.

Robbert was a great tour guide with many funny anecdotes. Great story teller! Beautiful sights and views in the mountains and at the lakes. Learned quite some about Irish history as well. Would highly recommend!

My most favorite part of the trip was our first stop in Glendalough, even though we had only 1 hour to see everything (I had to power walk/run to make it happen) and I think we should have had ideally 1.5 hours there to not feel pressure to be late. Another interesting place was Guinness Lake, while everything that came afterwards, was a bit boring. My least favorite part was hiking, so for the next time I would probably only stick to Glendalough and go somewhere else for the rest of the day.

Great tour, would highly recommend. Scenic drive from Dublin, with commentary from our guide Robin. Followed by mountain walk, stop over for lunch and tour of Glendalough. Robin has great knowledge of the area and shares this with enthusiasm.

Our group of 6 people loved our day trip to Wicklow and Glendalough!! The scenery was beautiful and the hikes took us to beautiful vistas. The food at the lunch stop was fresh and delicious with lots of nice salad side options. The Guinness Lake area was a highlight! Our guide Robert was fun and funny and a wealth of knowkedge! I definitely recommend this day trip
