Lascia Edimburgo e viaggia verso nord attraverso la campagna fino all'antica capitale scozzese di Stirling, una città ricca di storia. Ammira dal finestrino il maestoso Castello di Stirling, arroccato su una collina rocciosa che domina la città, quindi fermati per scattare qualche foto al Monumento a William Wallace mentre ascolti il commento della guida su William Wallace e il suo ruolo nelle guerre d'indipendenza scozzesi.
Dopo una sosta per sgranchirti le gambe, torna sul pullman e continua verso nord attraverso le Highlands, godendoti la vista delle splendide mandrie (o "wee hairy coos" come direbbero gli scozzesi) che vagano nella campagna ventosa e selvaggia. Passerai accanto al suggestivo Loch Earn, e potrai ammirare i vividi colori del Loch Lomond e del Trossachs National Park mentre attraversi gli spazi aperti.
Nel primo pomeriggio, sosta per un pranzo leggero presso una delle più famose distillerie di whisky della Scozia, The Famous Grouse. Se ti interessa saperne di più sul whisky e la sua produzione, fai un tour della distilleria per scoprire le tecniche di essiccazione e invecchiamento (non incluso). Dopo aver visitato il sito, incontrerai i membri del gruppo che non hanno partecipato al tour e assaggerai un corroborante bicchierino di whisky.
Continua il viaggio nel cuore del Perthshire e sosta per una passeggiata a Hermitage, un luogo meraviglioso con boschetti di alberi che fanno da cornice alle cascate e alle acque fragorose del fiume Braan. Passeggia nel bosco fino alle spettacolari cascate Black Linn Falls di Hermitage, e dopo aver riposato un po' inizia il viaggio di ritorno a Edimburgo.
Goditi un'ultima sosta presso il pittoresco villaggio di Dunkeld, citato da Shakespeare nel Macbeth, e visita la splendida Cattedrale di Dunkeld sulle rive del fiume Tay. Supera l'imponente Forth Bridge appena fuori Edimburgo; il tour si conclude al punto di partenza.

Wonderful tour. Beautiful countryside. Whisky tour was worth it. The guide's knowledge was a little questionable.

The tour of the Famous Grouse distillery was great. The sampling room was my favorite! The Black Linn Falls, Dunkeld, Hermitage, Sterling Castle and the William Wallace monument. ALL great visits.

Distillery tour is ok. The main problem I felt is less time at attractions. As soon as we reached at the distillery, the tour started. After the tour we literally rushed to the restaurant to grab something to eat and use restrooms. By the time we were done, it was time to leave. The bus was parked a little far away. So couldn't even take a few photographs from outside. And photography is not allowed inside. But the inside tour was really good. Another time problem was at Wallace Monument. The tour guide had given us 30 mins. It takes about 10 mins to walk to the monument from where the bus was parked. There is a mini bus service, but looking at the frequency, it takes about the same time. When we reached the monument, we found out that there is 10 ticket to go inside which our tour guide never mentioned. There was no point in buying a ticket because there was absolutely no time. So just clicked 3-4 photographs from outside and rushed back because we all needed to use restroom and this was our first halt before continuing our journey. Though there is a lot of history around it, visiting Wallace monument was a flop show. Before we started the tour, we paid for distillery tour at the center. Distillery tour is not included in the tour price and we were already aware of it. The lady gave us the receipt but did not give us the tickets and we did not know that we are supposed to have it. When we were in the bus we noticed that everybody has something which looked like a visiting card and then we inquired and we found out that those were actually the tickets. And it was just before we started so we were able to collect it but it would have been good if the tour guide had asked us when he was giving us instructions.
