Il tour parte alle 8:30 da 521 Lawnmarket, Edimburgo, EH1 2PE. In estate, la prima tappa è il castello di Midhope (solo da 1 aprile al 24 settembre), anche conosciuto come il castello di Lallybroch di Outlander, dove farai una sosta fotografica. In inverno, la prima tappa della giornata è il castello di Doune (solo dal 25 settembre a marzo), la casa del clan MacKenzie di Outlander. Seguendo il sentiero di Outlander, prosegui verso il castello di Blackness, noto nella popolare serie TV come il quartier generale di Black Jack Randall. Esplora l'imponente fortificazione, descritta come "una nave che mai salpò", per 30-45 minuti e ammira la vista del Firth of Forth.

La tappa successiva è la cittadina di Linlithgow. Qui, avrai a disposizione del tempo libero per esplorare la città e visitare il palazzo di Linlithgow, se lo desideri. Il palazzo è stato il set della "prigione di Wentworth" in Outlander ed è circondato da splendidi paesaggi. Un tempo, veniva utilizzato dalla famiglia reale come luogo per rilassarsi durante il viaggio tra Edimburgo e il castello di Stirling.

Poi, viaggia verso Callander House. Questa casa, risalente al XIV secolo, oggi è un museo; le sue cucine sono state utilizzate come location per la casa del Duca di Sandringham. Ammira gli splendidi dintorni per circa 45 minuti, prima di proseguire a Culross.

Il Royal Burgh di Culross è un pittoresco paesino arroccato sulla costa del Firth of Forth. Le sue antiche case rappresentano perfettamente la vita nella Scozia del XVII secolo. Visita Mercat Cross, la location di Outlander utilizzata per il "villaggio di Cranesmuir" e vedi i giardini del palazzo, utilizzati per il giardino di erbe aromatiche di Claire. Avrai tempo per dei rinfreschi nell'affascinante Biscuit Cafe, prima di fermarti per delle foto alle pietre erette di Tuileries (tempo permettendo).

L'ultima tappa della giornata è Hopetoun House (solo da aprile a ottobre). Questa casa del XVII secolo è stata il set della dimora del Duca di Sandringham in Outlander. Goditi del tempo libero per esplorare la casa e i suoi giardini, prima di tornare a Edimburgo.

This was a great tour to see various Outlander filming locations. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and we saw visited 14 plus filming sights. We also learned more of the history between the Jacobite's and the English war. Highly recommend.

Timber bush tour well done! Marty the Jacobite was extremely knowledgeable in Jacobite time period history and was a great host. Enjoyed all the sites we visited along the way including Lalllybroch, Linlithgow Palace, Blackness Castle, Culross and Sandringham House. Bus ride very comfortable.

Excellent tour and the guide was amusing and very informative. Seeing some of the history and castles on this tour was fantastic. If you are an Outlander fan this is a must.

We loved our guide Gillian. She had loads of Outlander facts and some Scottish history mixed in. She made enough time in all the stops and a few extra quick photo stops. The coach was nice and the group was small about 13 people. I would say this is a day we’ll spend if you are in Edinburgh :)

My 18 daughter and I were in Scotland for a week. She is a big outlander fan and convinced me this would be fun. It was! I have never seen the show but I learned so much from our guild Tonks. She explained a great deal of Scottish history and pointed out various sights around Edinburgh. She also must be a fan of Outlander because she kept my daughter and other fans on our bus interested. The coach we road in was roomy and comfortable. We left on time and returned on time. This tour is not just for fans of Outlander. We stopped at 3 castles that were all different and cool. We had enough time to walk the grounds and never felt rushed. I would recommend this tour to anyone, families included. I had a blast. Really take the tour. Thanks Tonks.

Andrew T was an amazing tour guide, he was very friendly and seemed like he really cared that people enjoyed themselves. He was also conscientious of the time we had at each place and made sure he counted us before taking off. I would definitely take this tour again and can only hope Andrew T would be our guide again.

The guide was friendly, but did not go with us to the castles. He parked the bus and showed us where to go. That was all. I thought He would go with us.

My husband, 8 other friends and I really enjoyed this tour, lead by Andrew. We we're blessed with fabulous weather. Andrew was very clear on what we were doing, how long we were staying at each site. Andrew was skilled at weaving the history of Scotland with the specifics of Outlander. He clearly is a fan. Some of the sites cost additional money, but you get a cost reduction for being on tour. We paid nothing due to having a Scotland Explorer pass. Even my husband loved this tour. I recommend it as a great value and lots of fun. Thank you Andrew!!

Andrew was our driver/guide. He met us dressed in a kilt with all the trimmings. He added so much to our tour with his knowledge and friendly persona. We had a ball! If you're an Outlander fan, don't miss this!
