Private Tuscany Day Tour: San Gimignano and Chianti Wine Region from Florence

An English speaking driver will pick you up at your accommodation and will drive you to visit San Gimignano and Chianti wine region.

San Gimignano is 45 minutes driving from Florence and it' s the first stop in the morning. This is a fabulous place to visit. The driver will drive you through the rolling hills of the Tuscany countryside and he will drop you off in front of the medieval gate of San Gimignano.

This tiny village is famous for its medieval architecture and towers that were built by the major families of the city to show their power and their richness. The 1200 Duomo called "Collegiata" is a magnificent example of medieval art. You will be able to visit San Gimignano for approx 1.5 hours on your own and then the driver will pick you up to drive to the next place.

During your private tour you will be able to customize the itinerary. You could decide to stop in a winery for lunch with wine tasting or to spend more time visiting San Gimignano. This is something that you’ll be able to adjust directly with your driver. He will also suggest you the best restaurants to have lunch or the best winery for lunch with wine tasting (at own expense).

In the afternoon it will be possible to visit another little medieval town in the Chianti region or, eventually, it will be possible to stop in another winery for a wine tasting. The driver will be as flexible as possible to make the best for you and to make you spend a lovely day.
