We took the tour to Kleine Scheidegg. We felt like we were tag alongs on the tour to Jungfrau. The guide was basically interested in that group of people. We were transported to Kleine Scheidegg and left on our own for the remainder of the day. Met the bus to return. Very little background info was provided. This was basically a transport only tour. This was okay, but overpriced for the service we were provided.
I am giving this tour 1 star because there is no option for zero stars and the scenery was fantastic. However, our tour guide was rude and obnoxious - he told one person Lady, you are talking now and not listening and I will not repeat this again and told me I was not paying attention when I asked for clarification on the group meeting point. Finally, I was in a group of 5 and he insisted we all sit together, even though one of our group members wanted to sit closer to the front of the bus. While our guide spoke English, it was heavily accented and very very very very difficult - in fact nearly impossible - to understand. Also, we were dropped off in a different place from where we were picked up and not given correct directions to return to the original pick up spot by our guide. I am extremely disappointed in the tour, our guide, and with Viator. I have taken other tours in the past and been very satisfied.
We were met near the Central Station in Lucerne by our skilled driver and knowledgeable guide and driven to Interlachen a lovely town on route to the mountain..On arrival to our destination we could not put our cameras down.Breathtakingly beautiful views were seen from Eiger after ascending the mountain by train.A must.if you visit the Lucerne area. My only criticism Is that our party of 8 had no guide for half the day.Others had chosen to go to Jung Frau. The increased cost of 92 SFranks per person was something our party of 8 could not entertain.Perhaps separate these tours in the future or have two guides on board.
One of the most exciting tour and tour guide , KID is his name, one I won't forget, he was so helpful, and so kind with all of us , Kid took this tour to the next level of professionalism, he personalized it , as one of us. We are adults but he really cared. I would recommend Kid highly.
It was a wonderful trip. We stopped at Lauterbruanen, Wengen, and Klein Schidegg. In the little town of Lauterbruanen, we saw beautiful Staubbach Falls. in Wengen, we asked a local where to see an awesome view. He told us to go to a church nearby. We saw an entire valley and snow capped mountain ranges. In Klein Scheudegg, we had a cup of coffee and admire Eiger and Jungfrau. We were not dropped from bus at the same place we started, so were lost going back to our hotel in Lucerne. We should have been notified in advance, then we could have prepared. Otherwise, it was a beautiful weather and we had a traffic day.
Just do it!! Make sure it is to the summit and not just the Panorama 'view' - I had to pay Euro 83 per head after starting the trip, but it was well worth the money!
The trip up to the best view is not included in this price and is very expensive. I felt a little silly for not having understood that before going. The tour guide gave me the option to pay (160 euros or something) to go up with the group or to take the train to the next town by myself and meet up with them later. I chose not to pay the extra. The sights are beautiful regardless and I did not regret my decision.
The best tour ever! You must pay the extra 160 Euro to go to the top to get the best view in the world. The tour guide will direct you to an ATM in Interlaken. My tour guide named Kid was outstanding in his knowledge and HUMOR.
