Da sapere su questa attività
When your guide picks you up from your hotel, head to downtown Nassau where your tour begins. Explore the brick walls and canons of Fort Fincastle, built in 1793, before you head down the 65 limestone steps of the Queen’s Staircase, built by slaves in the late 18th century.
Continue to Fort Charlotte, the largest of three forts in Nassau. Climb to the top for a spectacular view of Nassau Harbor and look down at the waterless moat, drawbridge and ramparts.
Learn about the governments that reigned as you see the courthouses, Parliament House and the Government House, made of stuccoed coral rock. Admire a statue of Queen Victoria, who ruled the Commonwealth for 65 years, as well as one of Sir Milo Butler, who became the first Bahamian Governor-General in 1973.
Next, visit the Straw Market, where Bahamian women sell souvenirs such as baskets, bags and dolls from dried palm. You’ll also find handmade jewelry, wood carvings and other crafts as well.
In Arawak Cay, named after the original island inhabitants, hang out with the locals at the food stalls, where you can sample Bahamian-style seafood dishes, such as fried fish, conch fritters and conch salad (own expense).
Finally, stop at a local rum cake factory for the opportunity to taste or purchase a delicious cake—baked and marinated in Don Lorenzo rum! Your tour ends with transport back to your Nassau hotel.
Historical City Tour and Shopping
See historic Nassau on the city tour and then enjoy a little shopping! If you select this option, you'll spend 45-minutes touring some of Nassau's key landmarks. Then, you'll have an hour to explore the shops in downtown Nassau before being transported back to your hotel.

Wonderful tour around Nassau. Our guide was knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. The history was very interesting.
not enough time to look at historic places was more to get us to buy from local vendors - disappointing
Good informative tour - if anything could have done with time at the Straw Market rather than one of the Forts.
Good overview of the Nassau sights. Elvis was very knowledgable and friendly and we really enjoyed our tour!
The driver on our trip was fabulous! We had a great time. Would highly recommend
