Cascate del Fiume Dunn, Giamaica: Festa in Crociera con Snorkeling

We had a ball the guides were very helpful and fun. From the bus tour to snorkeling to climbing the falls . The service was great the views wonderful and the kids enjoyed themselves!!

The tour was amazing, the staff was great and they went out of their way to make sure each guest had a good trip. I would highly recommend this tour.

Had an awesome time at Dunn’s River Falls and the Party Cruise. From the start the tour guide on bus was very informative. Food on bus and boat was good. Everyone was nice all around except.... ...The soliciting for DVD was aggressive.

The Dunn’s River Falls excursion is definitely a must do! We love every minute of it and I would do it again if I go back to Jamaica.

First of all, this excursion is well worth the price. Our group of 7 stayed in a private villa through AirBnB a ways away from the city of Montego Bay and this excursion leaves from Ocho Rios. The tour included pickup from the front door and drop off. Considering the average cost of taxi rides from our location, this was a plus. We did so much in 1 trip. First, the ride to the location is a guided tour in itself. The tour guide Kesia taught us some Jamaican history and some patois. Next was lunch at the dock before the cruise left. It was Jerk Chicken, Spanish rice and slaw. Not a mind blowing meal, but we needed the energy for snorkeling and climbing the falls. Snorkeling was fun, if you have your own gear, bring it. But they have everything you need. The falls were fun, especially with the guides helping to navigate and showing us neat features to pose for good pics. Get some sturdy water shoes with slip resistant bottoms to be safe. The company sells a pair for $13 in Jamaican colors. After the water sports, it’s time for an (limited) open bar. They gave everyone beef patties and rum punch. Strong rum punch. Then the crew taught the boat some Jamaican dances. It was a bonafide party by the time we docked ashore. All in all a great excursion.

Started off with snacks Jerk chicken, rice and peas before the cruise. We boarded the boat and snorkeled for about 20-25 minutes shortly after taking off. The waves were a bit choppy so everyone had to wear some form of life vest. We then boarded the boat again and cruised to Dunn's River Falls which was about 20-25 minute ride. Dunn's River Falls is beautiful. I did find the climb to be a bit challenging because the rocks are slippery but it is manageable. Once we finished the climb, pictures and videos were available to purchase. 10 per picture 40 per video. They welcomed us back on board with Jamaican Beef Patties and Rum Punch. And the party began! Tour guides danced and taught us Jamaican moves and it was a really fun time. Bus picked us up from Montego bay at 9:30 am. It took about a hour and a half to get to Ocho Rios. We arrived back at the hotel at 7 pm. It is an all day adventure.

My boyfriend and I went on this cruise last Monday Aug 13th, 2018. The boat was a good time and so was snorkeling. The main event at Dunn's River Falls was definitely a cool experience. However, I have to give this company 1 star because I felt they should have warned the people on this tour about the DVD scam. When you arrive at the falls, the staff for Cool Runnings stays aboard and hands you off to people who work at the Dunn's River Falls (or do they?). We were assigned a tour guide "Thompson" and a videographer "Cecil" who follow you up the falls videotaping the experience of the group. They even went as far as to make my boyfriend and I kiss for the camera and asking everyone in the group "what they love about Jamaica" while videotaping. Clearly this was all fake. They were never videotaping the group. They act like they are and then they try to sell you a $40 DVD at the end. We bought it figuring it would be fun to watch and we wanted to help the guys out by purchasing it from them. Well i wish i never did! They give you a blank DVD which you don't know until you get home and try to play it. Such a shame when you try to help people out and they take advantage of you. I know 100% that Cool Runnings is aware of these scams. These guys even came to the boat to drop off the dvd to us. How can a company not warn the 100 people on their boat to watch out for a scam like this? Maybe they have a contract with these guys and get half of all the blank dvds they sell. For this reason I would never use this company again and would recommend to anyone that does that you don't buy anything from anyone at the Dunn's River Falls!!!

Plenty of room on the boat for everyone. Snorkelers are given gear and a float belt. There is a lot of sea grass in the reef and critters/fish can be seen in the grass and on the coral. Staff pointed out points of interest. Falls are beautiful. There are steps next to the falls if you are not up for climbing slippery rocks. There are places where you can enter the falls along the step route which is nice for a dip. After climb party on the boat was a lot of fun. Sunshine and the crew are excellent!

Fun and Sun a great way to do Dunns river falls! Great music and water tour with the added bonus of snorkeling!
