Dopo il prelievo in hotel, percorri pochi chilometri a nord-ovest di Kalabaka, verso Meteora. Ammira le impressionanti rocce di Meteora che sorgono dalla pianura della Tessaglia, uno dei luoghi più incredibili della Grecia. Goditi questo paesaggio mozzafiato con altezze che raggiungono circa 600 metri, una delle più importanti comunità monastiche della Grecia. Meteora è il posto perfetto per vedere paesaggi spettacolari e monasteri bizantini arroccati sulla cima di rocce scoscese che ospitano inestimabili manufatti e affreschi.
Durante il tour mattutino, verrai portato in tutta comodità e sicurezza, a bordo di un lussuoso minibus con aria condizionata, verso i monasteri arroccati sulle scogliere. Potrai vedere sei monasteri attivi, gestiti da un piccolo numero di monaci e monache che risiedono a Meteora. Sfrutta la possibilità di vedere tutti i 6 monasteri e di visitare l'interno di 3 di questi.
Cogli l'occasione di scattare tantissime foto durante le soste per conservare il ricordo di questa esperienza. Inoltre, fai brevi passeggiate durante l'escursione. Ritorno all'hotel subito dopo mezzogiorno; il resto della giornata sarà quindi libero per altre attività.

We were not impressed by our tour. We were expecting to learn much more about the monasteries, why they were built, some historical facts... anything. Basically it is a bus ride between the monasteries. Rent a vehicle for the day and you will learn much more.

It's a must see place! wonderful and one of a kind! The guide is very knowledgeable and patient. My friends only taught of Santorini and Mykonos and other beach islands of Greece. They were amazed that there's such thing as monasteries on the top of the mountain. The pictures I posted online looks like computer generated views. There's an ongoing mushroom festival at night when we're there. They cook mushroom and grilled meat and bands playing music. The place is like a modern day fairy tale

Unfortunately, it was raining and/or very cloudy during our visit. We made the best of it. We had a rental car and logistically we did not need to do a paid tour. However, Chris did a Fantastic job at providing information in between drives to the three different monasteries. It did clear a little later that afternoon and we drove back up to the monasteries to get better pictures. Overall, a great visit!

Very good tour. Well organised and very knowledgeable guide who provided an immense amount of information about the monasteries, the local area, the church, and historical events. Just remember to visit most monasteries you need to be fit. There are hundreds of steps and some are quite steep so take your time.

The tour guide was very informative. It's pretty easy to get to the monestaries on your own from Kastraki or kalambaka but the guide provides more history and knows a lot of great spots to take pictures.

Christo gave us a really good experience in all the beautiful sites that he took us. We really had a wonderful time. Highly recommend this tour,is something unique.
