Our guide was so informative and didn’t mind answering any of our questions. Definitely a place to visit in remembrance of all those who lost their lives to such evil.
Well organized Guide very informative and knowledgeable Not rushed at all Everything was on time Enjoyed learning
Sadly the tour guide (Rosa) in small fortress didn't have a good enough level of English to convey the information. It was impossible to understand her and everything was really rushed. Things were pointed out to us very quickly and there was no time to actually look at things properly. We saw other tours going into areas and having full explanations, we didnt have this at all. It felt very much like move along and onto the next group. A very important place with lots of important information that was sadly lost. Several members of the group commented to the bus guide about how poor this was and he wasn't that bothered. I dont know the bus guides name as he didnt bother to introduce himself. Again everything was so so rushed and we found we had to chase along behind him as quick as possible and had no time to take in anything around us. Terezin is an interesting place with a very interesting story but it was all lost on this trip.i learnt more from reading up beforehand. A poor guide really set the tone for the trip. I did email my concerns before posting this but had an unsatisfactory reply so sadly felt the need to post the concerns here. Please do visit Terezin, just not with this trip as it was very expensive for very little. Very dissapointed.
To walk the path where so many Jews and other unwanted people walked during Hitler's terror was an experience I will never forget. The tour was bilingual and a small group, leaving time to digest what was being said. The ghetto museum time was only 20 minutes where more time can be spent.
The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. Although visiting a concentration camp is, in many ways, heartbreaking, it was an enlighing experience.
What an informative tour! It was a great day and our guide was wonderful, sharing some of the local history on our way to and from Terezin. There was a second guide who took us through part of the buildings, and she was very informative and helpful in explaining the tragic history of Terezin and how it was involved in the movement of people to extermination camps. Highly recommend this tour as it provided great information in a small amount of time.
Disappointed in tour .Didn't really learn that much and the tour at camp was quite brief, didn't really show you much and we had a quick march through the old walkways inside the walls which was a feature of the old castle. Interesting but not applicable to the reason for the trip. There are lots of building there but unless you ask about them, they are ignored so what they were used for is anyones guess. If you didn't walk past the graves at the entrance and see theArbeit macht frei sign , you would not have any real inkling as to what has happened here. The guide at Terezin seemed keen to try and shift the blame for the camp to any other countrynaming Switzerland, England and USA as they were told about it and did nothing! We watched a 30 min film which could really have been shortened by half and again it was not that informative. Maybe they need to have 2 separate tours, one about the history of the castle and one for the concentration camp.
