Dopo il prelievo dall'hotel di San Pietroburgo, la guida ti condurrà all'ormeggio delle barche, situato dietro il Palazzo d'Inverno. Salirai a bordo di un aliscafo ad alta velocità per un giro emozionante di 45 minuti lungo il fiume Neva, che ti permetterà di ammirare San Pietroburgo da una prospettiva unica costeggiando il litorale meridionale del Golfo di Finlandia.
Dopo l'attracco della barca presso la foce del Canale Marino, entra nell'enorme complesso dei parchi di Peterhof, che comprende giardini elaborati ricchi di statue, fontane, palazzi e padiglioni del XVIII secolo, costruiti per ordine dello zar Pietro il Grande.
Per prima cosa, passeggerai attraverso il Parco inferiore, che si trova tra il Palazzo Grande e il litorale e vanta oltre 140 fontane che funzionano senza pompe. Sosta presso l'imponente fontana Grand Cascade con la statua dorata di Sansone che spalanca le mascelle di un leone.
Dopo aver visto le tre cascate, di cui una a scacchiera e un'altra con dragoni cinesi, capirai perché Peterhof è definita la "Versailles russa"; quindi prosegui verso il Palazzo Grande per esplorarne i magnifici interni, che comprendono 30 sale decorate in un raffinato stile barocco.
Da qui, passeggerai attraverso il Parco superiore, caratterizzato da una disposizione formale in tipico stile francese con cinque fontane, di cui una raffigurante il dio del mare Nettuno. Attenzione alle realizzazioni fantasiose progettate per far bagnare i visitatori, come la fontana a ombrello che spruzza acqua ogni volta che qualcuno vi si siede sotto! La guida lascerà il tuo gruppo nel centro della città, che potrai visitare a piacere.

We had a private tour of the palace and gardens and our guide was excellent throughout the entire tour. If you only had limited time to spend in St. Petersburg then put Peterhof to the top of list, I personally found it better then The Palace of Versailles in many ways, the restoration of the palace after being badly damaged after WWII is outstanding. Our tour last about 3 hours at the actual palace/gardens which only gives enough time to experience the main attractions, you would need days there to do this place justice.

A must see while in St Petersburg. The boat ride, is just the experience, but don't expect anything exciting of it and it is noisy that could be problem for small children. The palace and the tour in general very good. Out guide was OK, at times she looked like very tired

Absolutely wonderful guide, I won't embarrass myself by trying to spell her name collected us from the hotel on time with our driver. She made the car journey very interesting pointing out many interesting locations en route. Her knowledge of the Peterhof was superb, as was her enthusiasm during the entire 4 hours or so we were with her. A genuinely lovely time with a delightful guide. Please pass our thanks to her. Our guide was good, I had a little trouble hard understanding with his hard accent,at first but he had a full english vocabulary. The other guests in our group misunderstood that the boat ride was only ONE WAY HOME... Not both ways. So they made a big stink which ruined OUR tour. Wish the tour was longer as our guide was very knowledgable and would liked to have gotten more info from him.

Peterhof is must in Petersburg! But reserve for the whole trip more time because within the given time is only fast track! Visiting the Grand Palace is a bit marching tour be prepared for it. You will go through really beautiful rooms but in quite speedy mode because is it small and so many people want to see it. The gardens are really nice and great! You can spend there hours next time I will do so!
