This tour was my favourite on my trip to Bali. It was great fun! If you are going to Ubud, you have to do this class. It started with a tour of the local night market and the family's beautiful property, then there was coffee and some sweets, and then the cooking. It was so interesting, fun, informative and DELICIOUS. I will definitely use what I learnt at home :) My friends are in for a treat at our next potluck!!
This was a fantastic trip from start to finish and a highlight of my stay in Bali. Nyoman, the chef took me to the local market in the early evening to tell me about their local produce and the food on offer to the locals at the market. We then went to his home where he made me feel very welcome and we cooked some amazing food. Thank you!
Great cooking class, Wayan's class was well taught very informative. I got to see how traditional Balinese food was prepared, from sauces to main dishes. Best part of the session? I got to eat all of the food! The ingredients were fresh and the class was very hands on. Highly recommended.
I went to this cooking class with a friend and we both really enjoyed it. The tour started with a trip to a local market where our guide explained the different spices and vegetables used in Balinese cooking. There was a local restaurant selling pieces cut from a freshly cooked suckling pig! The cooking class itself was held in an open air kitchen in a beautiful garden. It was very cool and clean. We had great fun with the hands on cooking and the food was just superb! This is an excellent tour and i have no hesitation in recommending it.
