We booked a guided tour because this was our first trip to DC; thought it would be a good idea to get an overview of the city before striking out on our own. Turned out to be a great idea—saw most of the major monuments and memorials, and our tour guide, Nick, was over-the-top personable. His sense of humor was pun-tastic (groan!), but we had the best time. He also went out of his way to get a rubbing of a name on the Viet Nam Memorial that meant a lot to my husband, which was going the extra mile. We felt like we got a lot of bang for our buck(s).
Wonderful way to see the best of D. C. and learn from a well trained guide. Nick was so knowledgeable, entertaining and fun to spend the day with. Two years ago two of us took this same tour and preferred the lunch on the Patomic boat cruise to the food court stop this time.
A great tour that covered many of the key monuments in Washington, which was made highly successful by Jamal's enthusiasm, knowledge and ability to explain events succinctly, accurately and without any lame jokes. The Capitol Tour component was conducted by another tour guide who was too much the entertainer (lame jokes) and too little information about the building. Thanks Jamal!
Our driver Tony was an excellent driver and Christopher, our guide, was fantastic!!! He was not only knowledgeable, but funny and very polite to everyone.
Nick was awesome so glad we had him! Very glad we didn’t try it alone. The bus was great. We hit all the spots on the list.
There is so much to see in DC, but this tour does a great job of getting you to the most important sites in a much more efficient way than trying to buy the tickets, find parking, etc. Plus, the tour guide adds so much more information than you could glean on your own. NICK WAS GREAT! We did this tour as sort of an overview of the main sites, and then we took in other things (Smithsonian, Holocost Museum, Museum of the Bible) on our own. Worked out well for us to do it this way.
Very good tour guide, informative, witty and cool. It's worth seeing US Capitol, museums and memorial monuments.
This tour was excellent and the tour guide(s) were knowledgeable, nice and entertaining. It was well planned out and organized. I felt like we saw so much !
The tour operators for this are "UDA guided tours". This was also the highest rated tour for DC, hence we booked this months advance. We weren't disappointed by the tour agency as this was one of the best tours I had in the US. The operator was extremely organised and the groups were divided into smaller manageable groups which then were filled into the tour carriages with a tour guide. Our tour guide was "Nick" and we were lucky to have him. He was very knowledgeable about all the site and historical background and gave us all the details with a heavy dose of fun and light-hearted jokes which made the trip so much more fun. I liked the thoughtfulness of the tour operator who had sent bottles of cold water for all the guests on that day as it was extremely hot (101 F). I also loved the way the whole trip was planned from morning till afternoon as they covered every important sight on the National Mall and we never felt rushed on any site. I will highly recommend this tour to everyone who wants to go on a guided tour of all DC highlights and places of interest.
Chris was a funny and knowledgeable tour guide and made the tour all that much better. We did the tour at the end of July in 90+ degree weather so getting to ride on the nicely A/C'd bus with water bottles offered onboard also improved the overall experience. The initial cost outlay may seem high compared to other tours, but, especially if your time in DC is short, this is a compressed, fast-paced tour with lots of nice-to-have add-ons that really does make the price of entry worth-while.
We enjoy all the tour. Our guia was Good and friendly. You can learn a lot and visit Many places in a short time. I recimended
We were so rushed through the whole process. We had 15 minutes max at each venue, it was not enough time to see it all or take decent pictures. Our travel guide sent us in the wrong direction at the beginning and it set an upset tone on the whole tour. Our guide on the bus was knowledgeable and tried his best to improve the overall mood.
Josh was a Great guide. We saw all the major sites. It was nice to get shuttled and have someone else plan the touring for us. We had 3 kids - ages 8-12-14 and they did well. The rain was not an issue at all they even provided ponchos. I recommend taking an umbrella if rain is forecasted! Well worth tour!
So glad we picked this tour. Our tour guide Josh was funny, and knowledgeable. My husband and i had a great time!
Christopher was our tour guide, very knowledgeable, funny and really made the tour fun!! Tony was our driver and he did a great job navigating through the city!
Great tour. Did exactly what they said they would. Tour group was exceptional with great guides and drivers.
Best way to see DC! So many sites in one day. You could never get it all in any other way! Highly recommend.
Its a good tour, you get to see a lot of memorials but its so rushed. You don't get to spend a lot of time at each place. And if you are not a fast walker, you are even more screwed. They should lessen the amount of places visited so more time can be allowed for sightseeing and pictures. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves. The tour guide was very knowledgeable of the area.
The tour guide we had personal issues going on while the tour was going on, your company delayed us a few times with not having the proper transportation, and most sites we didn't have enough time at some of the locations.
Tony and Chris were EXCELLENT! Very knowledgeable and fun! During the tour however, a few of us were under the impression we were enjoying lunch while on the tour boat on the Potomac, not at a food court with thousands of other people trying to obtain lunch in a certain time frame. Description a little misleading!!!!!!
Great package. Well worth the $. Tour guides Nick and Chris make the trip fun and exciting. They know the tips to get you around the crowds and make the most of the day. Perfect for those with limited time to visit but want to see it all. Tour doesn't stay at any one location for very long so you get to see alot!
Excellent choice! Nick (our guide) was very nice! We saw the most important sights without any try!!:) We relax and enjoy our trip!
Christopher and Rahel made this a safe and educational event. I felt that I got my .money's worth and more Christopher went out of his way to help me get the cancellation stamps I needed from the National Park and see the sjtes.
we took this tour with our 4 grandchildren and we are very happy we did! the capital visit was great and very informative! we saw all of the monuments and war museums and even took a boat ride on the Potomac! I highly recommend this tour!
From the moment we arrived at the meet-up location through every stop, Nick was informative, entertaining, and made sure we were all comfortable and enjoying the tour. Tony drove through the DC traffic smoothly and made our rides to the different memorials and locations smooth. I would highly recommend to anyone planning on seeing the sites in DC to ride with them.
Josh was our tour guide along with Tracy (Miss Sunshine) our driver. He was knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and kept track of the day and our group by giving clear directions and expectations. We highly recommend this tour if you can get Josh as your guide. Thanks, Josh and Tracy, from Cleveland This tour covered the major highlights of DC all in one day. If you take this tour note the night tour of the memorials is not needed.
This tour took us to pretty much all of the places to see around the DC area. Having Henry talk through each monument or memorial or building was the most helpful part. Having someone with that in depth knowledge made the trip so much more enjoyable. Huge thank you to Tony and Henry for all of their knowledge and support!
We are amazed with the beauty of Washington DC, more indeed, with the selfless behavior of tour guide. We’ll surely keep Viator as our first preference.
The cherry blossom festival the NCAA Eastern finals kite festival all conspired to ruin the day. Traffic was horrendous but thanks to Nick and Tony we were able to experience all advertivised
Very please with the tour but the best part was our guide Edgar! Very knowledgeable and passionate about his history. Bus was new and comfortable. Highly recommend this tour.
Our tour guides were Nick with driver Rohel Both were excellent. Nick was full of little- know facts about the city and the monuments. His touch of humor made the trip fun and enjoyable. Rochel was excellent at handling traffic and her knowledge of the route was great. We felt like we were in good hands. Thank you both.
My husband and I did this tour during our visit to DC. Nick was our tour guide. He's the best!! Highly recommend!
Loved this tour, our driver Rahel was amazing at getting us everywhere we needed to go And was so friendly. Our tour guide Henry was so fun and entertaining he made our tour so much fun.He really loves his job and has a great heart.I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Dc.
It was a very good tour. tour director was well informed and very pleasant, Would recommend . We were first in to the Capital Bld that morning
